Life continues to be busy at Rannerdale!
Many of our community members will know that we facilitate an New Zealand Nursing Council accredited Competency Assessment Programme for Internationally Qualified Registered Nurses who are seeking registration in New Zealand to work as Nurses. This programme has been run for many years and as such our residents are our biggest teachers. Our next CAP intake commences on Monday 25 January and we can’t wait to welcome them to our Home.
We all had a fabulous Christmas with our activity calendar packed with entertainment and community gatherings. This included a residents Christmas afternoon tea with family and entertainment, along with a Middleton Grange school “thank you” celebration. There was so much food, fun and music – a wonderful way to end what was a really challenging year.
As some of you may know, I have resigned from my position as CEO at Rannerdale and my last day will be on 22 January 2021. I would like to say a special thank you to our residents, their family members, my management team, and the team of direct care staff who have supported me in my role – it has been wonderful journeying with you all I will miss you terribly. A huge thank you also to the Directors and Trustees, it has been both a privilege and an honor working with you all.
Sarah Van Vianen, Clinical Manager will be holding the fort while the Board consider their strategic options in relation to the CEOs role. Keep an eye on the website for further details. If you have any concerns or questions please make these known to Sarah and she will be more than happy to assist you.
Take care out there,
