About Rannerdale Veterans’ Care
Founded in 1921, Rannerdale Veterans’ Care provides residential care to ex-service men, women, and their dependents, as well as having a growing role in providing support to ex-service men and women still living in the community in their own homes.
Our residential facility has 40 long term hospital beds and 25 rest home beds for both permanent and short stay residents.
Rannerdale has a unique culture, due in part to the shared background and experiences of the residents, and also to the exemplary standard of care provided by dedicated and well trained staff.
It is not necessary to have a defence background to become a resident at Rannerdale. In fact many of our residents do not have a defence background, but choose to live at Rannerdale because of its long tradition and reputation for caring.
Rannerdale Veterans’ Care is also an accredited provider of a Competency Assessment Programme for the Nursing Council of New Zealand, assessing both overseas nurses and New Zealand nurses returning to the workforce against Nursing Council competencies in order for these nurses to gain New Zealand nursing registration.
We welcome your interest and would be pleased to meet with you should you wish to discuss any of our services with us.
